Well Here I am, like every other attempt since the fall of MMX:THH trying to get another rp with that wonderful group of people to work whether or not I'm running or just playing, I'll be anywhere that name is even whispered.
So here I am lurking in the shadows, reading your posts, seeing where this is going and offering any shred of free time I have into making this work out better than the other attempts.
While I'd love to just come and rp, if people need the help with anything I can help with let me know. I'm better versed in the mmx storyline now, though not so much more than I was. But I have rp system experience and game mastering/storytelling experience as well.
So I'll be around, and hope this can get off the ground before to long.

You don't remember Specter? For shame blaze, for shame. I could say a lot more, but it's worth specifically mentioning that he was part of the ZR staff. If you're still looking for a hand with this venture, there's probably worse people out there. *cough* that guy who played Fallout *cough* Seriously though; as far as the systems section, I'll plop down on that and start churning some stuff out for lil' Akiko.

Yes indeed much stuff, most of which I'm still trying to catch up on.
To set the record straight I was there months before THH fell.... Then again I couldn't convince Hayate/Strike not to abandon it either.
Well as to getting something running it needs to happen fast enough to hold interest this time or it'll spin out like ZR. So my humble opinion is that when staff is decided they set a feasible time line for creation/completion of sections of the forum and system that are necessary to start role-playing and get the ball rolling on the storyline sooner than the much detested later scenario.
I'll make a new thread, but I'll post the version 1 copy of my system for Altra-sun. It'll need adjusting but it may just be what you guys are looking for this time around. I'll get it revised toward megaman if people show enough interest in it.

For the most part the system is already up and running. For now it's more of a "give people a chance to get update their characters and/or return from the holidays before starting" kind of situation. As of right now, I plan on starting the story on either the first or second (depending on my work schedule).

So my humble opinion is that when staff is decided they set a feasible time line for creation/completion of sections of the forum and system that are necessary to start role-playing and get the ball rolling on the storyline sooner than the much detested later scenario. For ZR, it wasn't that stuff didn't happen fast enough, it was that stuff really didn't happen period. We created an expansive six-faction RP and only had two staff members for the first couple months trying to actually make sense of it all. It wasn't till Falcon kicked a few people in the ass when we finally started making real progress. Things went smooth again for awhile until staff members started disappearing, with no word at all, and we only had 2 staff members again. Short and simple; we had a RP that required a dedicated staff to run all the factions, areas, and keep a relatively short leash on the players similar to many system-heavy Sim RP's. Thankfully here, we have a near total opposite of that; smaller sim, less areas, less rules and guidelines, more freedom, etc.

hum...specter...specter...aren't you the guy who appears on a forum just before it dies out? That's MY job. If Specter wants it, he can kiss my ass, and then drown himself in a lake. I am the cancer that is killing the intranet. He can be the AIDS if he likes, but cancer is my role. Also, this "creative method = one shot golem" rule will make RYS even more unstoppable. Nameless NPC's will fall at his feet and be mercilessly curb-stomped! The player who manages to kill RYS gets a cookie! And not just any cookie. A HUGE cookie. The diameter of this cookie will make fat men sing out prayers to the cookie, the one true god. Made of butter, eggs, and sugar, this cookie will ascend to the highest of the Heavens and reign over all with its chips of chocolate! And you will receive it as a gift.

Well the actual equation should be: Very creative idea+GM in good mood=one shot golem kill.
On the other hand: GM in sadistic mood+creative idea= maximum golem rapage. *evil GM grin*

I'm not intranet aids.... and the death of MMX:THH was Strike's addiction to World of Warcraft coupled with his personal life giving him a porn film sized ass-f**king from far out of left field, and it didn't even give reach around. But that is neither here nor there.
And this cookie of which you speak, if it isn't double chocolate chip, I think I'll pass.
Either way, GM mood should have less to do with an rpg than many other important things. When I run a game over the table for people around here, I try and get into character in one part of my thought process, that character being the main villain, and on the other thought process I try to think of things in the form of an impersonal narrator. This allows me to run the game in a fair to the players manor, even if my previous week puts me in the mood for TPK [Total Party Kill].
Not sure how you meant for your equation to go, but the way I run has generally pleased the players even when they got reamed, because that was how the situation really would go, not how my mood warped it.
Also by the number of times my name has come up sense I got here I can probably safely assume I sparked something. I just hope it'll be renowned energy toward getting this thing rolling and not the long fuse on the self-destruct sequence.

...would you rather the short fuse? At least the long fuse gives your mortal legs a chance to carry you out of the blast radius.

Unfortunately, as you can tell we haven't stared quite yet . And once again, I'm inspired to write while at work, but the moment I get home I'm too tired to do so . My next day off is Sunday, so at the very least it'll start then. Hopefully, I'll be able get started before then, but Sunday should be the latest. Sorry for the delay.
