I'd be more worried about whoever she was against. She's scary when she gets serious. Yuki responded, tagging behind Sokuren as they ascended together. Thanks to his kind efforts, her secondary systems had recovered sufficiently. She held back slightly, opting to act as the rearguard, should anything else still lurk about.
Her toothpick sized lance was held firm, for all it was worth. Which, summed up in a single word, was little. She halted when he did, pulled back as he did, and then focused her eyes behind the pair.

"....Let's see your barrier avoid THIS, bitch.
"Very well," Sierra said lifting a single finger into the air.
A strange light, like looking into the light of a prism, shimmered around Sierra as the Light Wave Barrier activated shattering the ice around her feet as it did so. The barrier quickly reshaped itself from a circular to a triangular one. The edges of the barrier touched down on the parts of the floor still stable holding her aloof as the ground fell out from beneath her. A moment later, the ceiling came crashing down splitting over the barrier's pointed top and sliding down along with the rest of the debris onto the floor below.
"My barrier can activate at the speed of light. Far faster than even your time manipulation device can react I'm afraid," Sierra said calmly as she took a few steps forward back onto the solid ground before allowing her shield do deactivate and resuming her attempt at control on Maya.
"As for my control device, I'm afraid you're only partially correct," She stated standing only a few feet from Max and Maya. For some reason she no longer seemed concerned if Maya heard her, whether this was because she had gained enough control it was no longer necessary or for some other reason it was unknown. "Focus and distance are important, but the beauty of this particular unit is that they are not the hear all say all. For example, I can continue to gently coo one into joining willingly while at the same time create a much more high powered beam to force another to obey unwillingly. Like kind of like this."
Beneath the helmet, Sierra's eyes turned from the pair nearby to the wall Sokuren was currently hiding behind. A wave of pain rushed into the reploid's mind as the manipulation device hit him too. Unlike Maya, this beam was not designed for subtlety. The device listened to every thought, every action Sokuren made or attempted to make. Those it approved of were ignored, while those that it did not sent waves of white hot shearing pain through his mind and random nerve endings.
"These eyes are not just decoration," Sierra said preemptivly responding to any questions as to how she knew where Sokuren was. "I have been watching both you and your fairy friend ever since you entered this building. Hmmm, I wonder how well my device works on cyber faeries? Perhaps when I'm done with these two I will try it out. After all, I'm sure my daughter would be happy to have her join us as well."
Sierra stiffened for a moment as she realized the word she had mistakenly said during that last sentence, daughter. Memory flashes flashed before her:
She saw herself running through a back ally holding the hand of a young girl no older than seven in age. She saw herself standing crouching in the ally calling out to the street. Down one way a Neo Arcadia soldier fired at a Maverick Hunter whom returned fire from the other side. In the center, the young girl lay on the ground hands over her head crying in fear. For a moment the shooting stopped as the two combatants took cover. The girl stood. At that same moment both Hunter and Arcadia came out of cover firing. She watched as the plasma bolts struck the girl front and back simultaneously.
The scene went dark. She found herself crying, crouched on the street, holding the girls limp form in her arm. The Acradian was dead with a smoking plasma wound in his chest. The Hunter approached trying console the crying woman.
Again the scene went black. She found herself standing over the dead body of the Hunter, his body covered in jagged stab wounds, her hands covered in blood. Again she turned and cradled the body of the dead girl.
Time passed, unknown a mounts. She looked up. An angelic figure stood before her looking down upon her sadly. He reached out his hand. After a moment, she took it.
The flash passed and she returned to the present. Silently she looked down at Maya. In deed, it was true, this girl looked so much like her lost Karen.

"GRAHH," Spara cried out in pain as Blaze's fist struck the cuts causing them to crack slightly from the force.
In anger, Spara reached over grabbing what he taught to be some sort of large "rock" that had rolled out of one of the exploded buildings. Giving a heave, he hurled this "stone" at Blaze. Giving a light eep, the red reploid dived down the nearest ally as projectile flew in behind making an odd clicking noise as it did so.
Spara fell to his knee panting in anger and pain. His chest hurt, his hands were burning and now a stabbing pain shot through is leg. Avenging his men was proving to be tougher than it should have been.
Angerly he slammed his fist into the ground repeatedly, shaking the earth with each hit. He was an Arc Angel general, one of the chosen few hand picked by the master himself to lead his armies. How could he be losing to these weaklings.
"You have GOT to be the most arrogant, annoying guy I've ever met in the past few months. I'm personally not going to listen to you anymore, so let's just get on with it OK?"
"I've survived seven years against idiots like you who roll in with their big and bad armors, running their mouth. You're about par for the course."
These words echoed in his mind. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath. Yes, these words were true. This was how he always fought. Searching for a worthy opponent, searching for a place to die. But that all changed, the day that angelic hand reached out to him.
Yes for a moment his anger had gotten hold of him and he had forgotten what his master had taught him, but that was now past as Winter and Max's words reminded him of what he had learned.
Spara rose again, pushing aside the feelings of pain and anger he felt. His mind much more focused he now carefully watched as his one remaining target prepared to attack.

Sokuren stumbled as the waves of pain hit him, though since he had been listening to the conversation, he was prepared enough to activate a countermeasure. Standing up and walking into the room, He moves to stand right between Maya and Max, using a few-fire element shots from his pistol to free Maya from the ice at her feet. At the same time, he take the sphere he had been holding and tosses it at Seirra's feet, where it starts beeping.
"Word of advice, when using pain to make someone do something, make sure they can't turn it off."
The device explodes with a bright flash, releasing a field of Chaff as well as emitting a short range radio jamming field. Clamping a small device on the back of Maya's neck before grabbing her around the waist, also grabbing Max. The holding on to the two, he jumps backwards out the door, back into the stairwell. Unfortunately, from seeing Max fight, Sokuren had though he was a reploid, and overestimated the jumping power he needed, sending him too far, and causing him to hit the banister, which probably was not designed to support 2 reploids and a Human, and predictably fails. This causes Sokuren and his passengers to fall several floors, landing on his back with the other two on top of him.
"...So glad I turned off my ability to feel pain right now."
(Note: The thing on Maya's neck is something that blocks anything electronic from receiving signals for a few minutes, you can just assume that it wore off next post if you want)

The mirrors flew on their own, encircling the general along with Winter. Skimming around Spara, there's little remorse or hesitation against this guy; she's killed plenty of abberant reploids like any Hunter of old, sticking to her duty above all else even if it wasn't exactly pleasant.
However, her eyes do narrow as he stands up. At least he's going to go out focused and fighting. It was fair, even if dealing a killing blow made her uneasy.
The mirrors shift position. Winter lifts up, pulling another switch, activating hi-yield mode, as she studies her shot with gun pointed at Spara until she eyes a mirror suddenly, lurches to aim and suddenly her gun erupts in a laser beam smacking off of both mirrors, seeking to nail right through Spara's torso if he isn't quick enough to predict the angle. With the shot comes recoil, covered as Winter thrusts a little against it, letting out an exhale after.

Again the odd light shimmered around Sierra as the barrier had reactivated the moment she saw the grenade like object land at her feet blocking out any effect the weapon my have had to her equipment. Blinking for a moment she watched as the trio took a tumble down the stairs. Charging forward, for a moment she felt a strange since of worry for Maya's safety.
Looking down the stairs she smiled coldly. Taking a step off the edge the began plummeting down after the group. One floor above the fallen group however, the light reactivated slowing her decent allowing her to land softly beside them.
"Interesting little side effect is it not," Sierra said to Sokuren. "The ability to absorb all forms of energy makes descents a breeze."
Again, unseen under her mask, she smiled cruelly, "Radio scramblers? Disabling pain sensors? Do you honestly think I had not encountered such things before? Silly rabbit, don't you know tricks are for kids?"
Again he was hit with the control beam. This time rather than pain it was confusion he felt. Like before, every thought, every action was judged. Only this time, rather than pain any disapproved action or thought would cause his mind to get scrambled making him unable to think let alone act.
"I do prefer not to use this level of control," Sierra said with a strangely wicked happiness undertone. "It often times leaves the victim a drooling drone unfortunately. But don't worry, once you learn to stop thinking for yourself, you will be fine."

Y...you have a nice a-and gentle name....Maya.
"You should know. You gave it to me." She whispered softly into Max's ear, embracing him tightly the whole way down. "Welcome bac..." Maya's voice heaved; her tiny form the meat, pickles, and onions of a Sokuren-Max sandwich. Her grip upon him failed, the two separating as she awaited a death from the impact that refused to come. For a brief moment, she had felt almost human in his arms.
Her eyes then met his, as she looked over his form that seemed so beaten and frail. He was not the man she had thought he was, yet he had a very similar smell. Though, perhaps all humans smelled much the same? He was familiar though, the man that had attacked her and threatened her; the false memories that still lingered upon her mind. Yet, he was also important to her... somehow. She reached out towards him and smiled, the only remaining weapon in her arsenal flashing into reality upon her empty palm. "Don't hate me for this..." She sputtered in apology.
Closing her eyes, she closed her grip upon the gun, squeezing off two fiery rounds. Incendiary bolts lashed out towards him, soaring over the top of his head by less than a foot. His appointment with the reaper was belayed a few moments longer. The first shot impacted one of the unbroken windows on the current floor they resided, smashing the glass outwards. The sharp edged projectiles were melted in a fine honey blend, hardening again on their way down into relatively safe blobs as they splattered to the outside ground below. The second shot was uneventful, traveling through the portal and then abroad the landscape until it faded from view...
"Yuki! You've escaped, come back to me." She called out towards the bewildered Cyber Fairy. Unable to do much of anything, Yuki had merely frozen during the most recent proceedings. Still confused, the cyber fairy dove in a straight line, to return to Maya's side as she had been instructed. Maya, on her own, had not risen to her feet yet, and began to sob uncontrollably. She was such an utter mess on the inside right, being pulled and prodded each which way until she had broken. At last she called out to Siera. "Momma!"
Far above, with ever watchful eyes; the stray projectile from before had not gone unnoticed. Signal confirmed... Cutting power to her wings entirely, Ashni descended in a form that was the least affected by air resistance. She may not have been the best flyer of the fairies, but she did do one thing very well, as did lightning; she fell upon the earth.

Sokuren had struggled out from the other two when Seirra came floating down, and had tried to take a few shots at her, but the mind control caused him to collapse to his knees, holding his head in his hands. He continues to fight it, until Seirra can feel something in him... break.

As the program finished running, Sokuren's armor would deactivate, the A new armor, midnight Black in color would activate. This armor is much heavier than his usual armor, and covers the areas that his usual does not. As the armor activates, his eyes change from blue to red, and Seirra would notice that touching his mind now felt.. unclean, as if staying in contact for too long would harm her. Standing up, Sokuren looks at Seirra and say
"Threat Identified. You have 5 seconds to stop accessing this unit's core or you will be eliminated"
His voice is different, void of even the simulated emotions that Reploids usually have.

Max had landed, and rolled off of both Sokuren and Maya, seemingly down for the count. The girl had shot at him, missing him. He smiled weakly as she aplogized for it, tears beginning to well in his own eyes as he continued to look at the girl, broken and crying now also, and suddenly he felt...angry, something he rarely ever did. No matter how rotten a person was, his creed was to never get angry, it served little purpose and he didn't want to give her that satisfaction...Then she uttered "Momma!".
That, as the saying went, did it.
"Y....YOU BITCH!"
Rejoining the twin halves of his wrench, Max stands, through pain and disorientation from the fall and begins slamming his weapon into the now reactivated barrier, attacking as if he were a man possessed.
"I see through your little "front". You come off as a sweet and innocent person but you're something FAR to the side of that aren't you?!"
Max though a haze had heard her voice crack after speaking about her "daughter". While he didn't enjoy what he was about to do, he knew it had to be done.
"Karma's a bitch. I suppose then that it's your fault that she's gone. If her Mommy wasn't so evil to her core, maybe she'd be here now."
To anger your enemy is to take away their focus. Focus is what drove this one's abilties. As Max continued to swing with his physical weapon, he also did the same with hs words, a weapon that her barrier could NOT protect her from.
"And I bet it EATS at you too. Good. I hope it stings like hell. I really do. I hope whatever scene plays out in your mind is the first thing you see in the morning and the last at night."
What had pushed the human into this? In one reason, it was the girl, Maya as it turned out. She had spoken to him, but also was not speaking to him. She had lost someone, either by death or mere seperation he did not know. But this woman's toying had brought those memories, those PAINFUL memories back up. She was suffering because of it and that angered him. The second reason was this other guy. He wasn't himself right now and Max had no idea why. He hoped that whatever it was, was fixable but either way it was this woman that caused it.
And then like a light shining in his mind, Max's eyes opened wide, as if he had seen a ghost....
Before focusing on her with a gaze that would frighten the Spartan outside.
"AND IT WAS YOU THAT BLEW UP THOSE BUILDINGS! I KNEW THAT HE COULDN'T HAVE DONE SO FROM JUST POINTING! HE HAD HELP, YOU!"
The ferocity of the wrench swings got stronger, as the human kept up his offensive, venting his anger out on her, on the shield, or perhaps just out into the ether itself. Either way he grinned which gave his already creepy gaze an even more so look as he said his final piece.
"So I guess in addition to "Child Killer" we have "Evil Bitch" and "Mind Raper" too! Wow there HAS to be a special level of hell for people like you, GOOD WORK! I bet you killed even MORE KIDS today! Or even better, took thier parents from them! I can only hope that I get as good at my hobbies as you are!"
Now swinging the weapon with a single hand, his right, Max balls up his left and begins throwing Icy punches at the barrier in addition. Meanwhile he would speak to Maya without turning to her, hoping that she could hear...truly hear his words.
"Maya I could never hate you. You're a sweet girl who simply wants to be left alone. I don't know who you thought I was, but he seemed like a truly nice guy, and if anything happened to him, I am sorry for it. But I won't let this witch hurt you, I owe you and I owe HIM that."
And Max kept up his offensive, all the while bleeding from several cuts and gashes in both his armor and body. It would appear that the fall did not help his conditon, but to look at him now, it would also appear as if he did not care.
"What's the matter Bug Lady? Have a problem with what i'm saying? Or are you quiet because you know it's the truth? ANSWER ME!"

Sokuren's demands matter little at the moment, with Max's constant barrage of attacks it became impossible to maintain the control beam through the barrier and therefor it was disabled.
Had she not been wearing a helmet, Max would have scene her pupils dilating as he spoke. By the time he had finished there was nothing left but a small black speck in the centers of each eye as her death stare looked onto the human tormentor.
"You think you can judge me? You don't know the first thing about me," Her voice was steady an emotionless and yet at the same time it sent a chill down the spines of those who heard. "It was people like you that killed her. People like you who stick their nose's where they don't belong. People like you who rush in blindly fighting from street to street, not even thinking about what their 'ritchus' actions may have."
"You think your so Innocent? If you hadn't interfered we would have killed that red reploid and that would have been the end of it. If you hadn't interfered, we would have been long gone before either this girl or any of the others had appeared. If you hadn't interfered we would have had no reason to continue with the plan to burn the city. But no, you came in, the city burned, people suffered, because YOU interfered."
Reaching up she grasped the sides of her helmet lifting it off her head revealing her face for the first time. With shoulder length strawberry blond hair, she was actually rather attractive aside from a long sideways V shaped plasma scar on her left cheek.
Her pupils undilates slightly as her emotionless face twisted into a psychotic smile of one who had seemingly lost all reason.
"Yes, I'm certain many parent lost their children and many children lost their parents because of us today, but why should I care? Why should they be happy when I can not?" Some how her eye's seemed to get even wilder. "I say let them all burn."
Lifting her hand she held the detonator in her hand. Flicking the safety cap open, she pressed the button.
Moments later, the entire building rocked from explosions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had Spara not regained his composure, he probably would not have noticed the twin mirrors, nor would he have been able to dodge them. Now however, his desire to avenge his comrades was quenched by a much greater threat.
Even Spara had difficulty maintaining his footing as one of the massive explosives they had hidden detonated vaporizing a section of the city already aflame along with a portion of the city surrounding the burning area that had yet to be harmed. Though non-nuclear, the blast had been large enough to create a mushroom cloud over the detonation point.
Spara looked in horror at this sight for he new what was next. First bombs identical to the first would go off around the perimeter cutting off escape. Then, the one under there very feet would blow.
Spara wasn't sure what had happened to Sierra since she cut communications a short time ago. Whatever it was, it must have been bad for her to go so far as to activate the explosives while both he and her were still at the center of the blast area.
Having no time to think, Spara did the first thing he could think of to escape. Kneeling down, he spun in a circle cutting the ground around him. Once the cut was complete, the ground gave way and the massive reploid began falling down. If he was lucky, he might be able to get down deep enough to be safe. As he fell, more explosions rocked the earth encircling and trapping those within.
" Danger level increased, Recommended course of action: Immediate neutralization"
The black armored reploid stood there, looking at Seirra. Then raising one hand, a futuristic version of a P90 appears in it, and he sends a volley of red colored plasma bolts slamming into her shield. The energy from the shots does not disperse after the shot impacts, but rather turns into bolts of red lightning that crawl across the surface of the shield, keeping it active.
"Threat Neutralized. New primary objective: Escape."
Looking at Max and Maya, this red-eyed version of Sokuren says in the same emotionless tone
" You two will be useful for ensuring this unit's safety when the primary personality is in control. You will come with us, resistance is futile"
Faster then either of the two could react, Sokuren sucker punches Max in the gut to make him stop attacking, then throws him over his shoulder, dashes over to Maya and picks her up as well, then teleports away moments before the explosion hits.
"Swell!" Ashni positively cursed as the first cannonade of explosions rocked the building. She had had the distinct honor of witnessing the initial explosions from a view no other participant below could have shared in. There was flat out, no way of helping those inside at this point. As damned as she would be without the others; it was a far cry better to do anything but join them inside for the fireworks.
Yet at this point, she was unable to stop her sudden descent in a timely enough manner, nor veer her path far enough away the blast zone under her own power. This left only two alternatives and she choose the far better of the two. Twin slits along her back hummed an equal tune, wings flaring to life from them. She leveled her tiny buster towards Spara, and loosed a single electrified beam of energy. Some might have mistaken the action as inherently spiteful towards Spara, or as an ineffective expenditure of time and energy. Ashni however, viewed it as an expedient way to identify herself as friendly towards the shuttle bus she intended to board in a mere moment.
It was in convenient form that Spara quite literally had nowhere to go but down. In similar fashion, so did her shot. They were much the same in that manner, but for one of them that was traveling much faster than the other. The beam full of electrical current missed its intended strike zone, his head, but pegged the Spartan in an ineffectual manner nonetheless. Abandoning any attempt at actually leveling out at this point, Ashni instead made a controlled fall towards Winter's present location. She then collided with the Hunter, in the form of energy that infused itself with her systems, her body, and her mind. It was an altogether pleasant experience, perhaps strange and unexpected, but quite painless. A voice then echoed within her mind. Think happy thoughts, Honey.
"OH WELL THIS IS JUST F**KING GREAT!"
The situation had gone from bad to worse as Blaze ran out of the alley to dodge a flume of flame intent on cooking the reploid. Looking around the big guy was now gone as were most of the buildings and as it seemed, his allies also. Frowning he spots the "rock" and leaps onto it, activating his teleporter. Had the "rock" been just a rock the following would not have occured:
Winter being the only one remaining would see both Blaze and the "rock" beam away, whereupon landing, Blaze takes a step, and as he was not on the ground, falls off his perch, ONTO the ground.
"....Not my best day."
(OOC: I don't know where we're all going to end up, so the part where they actually DO land is merely to show what happens. Ignore it as of right now.)
"...!" Winter began to fly as well after Spara but as it became evident that the situation would only grow worse as the explosion's shockwave grew, things became a little clearer to Winter; survival first. Her wings lit up brightly as she suddenly flew upward with good speed, pushing herself to increase her limits as a strange feeling entered her head, causing her to balk just slightly until she realizeed it and kept flying upward and away, out of the area.
...there was no use sticking around. Best if she left and reported.
To Ashni, Winter's entire self felt... odd. A mix of emotions but a general feeling of upset, mostly at the explosion and what had happened. Resentment at Spara too. And now a growing, perplexed feeling. "Who are... are you a cyber elf?" Winter says, realizing.
