Blaze leaned against the nearby wall panting lightly. His normally clean red armor was now speckled with black scorch marks from the glancing blows of energy weapons. Though still uninjured, that last shot had had more blow than glance for the reploids liking.
"This is an easy job they said. Take this data pad to our client they said. Who'd be interested in farm output data they said," Blaze mumbled to himself as he opened the visor on his helmet and wiped the sweet from his brow. "Well someone is sure freakin' interested."
Putting the visor back down he pressed himself up against the wall as something near by rustled. It wasn't that long ago he had arrived in this once heavily populated, now nearly deserted, section of London. His original destination had been a corporate building on the other side of town, but some sort of teleporter hack had cut the travel short and landed him smack dab in the center of a group of trigger happy rouges. Some quick thinking, good armor, and a lot of luck were what saved him from a quick fraging. Though Blaze managed to take a few of his enemies down, to his last count there were still seven Joes, three humanoid reploids, an FX, and a really angry anthro. Despite the Joes and the FX, the group appeared to be neither Arcadian or Brant Corp. Then again, Blaze hadn't taken the time to ask.
"Whelp, can't stay here forever," Blaze mumbled to himself.
Taking a deep breath, Blaze peaked around the corner...and froze. Right around the corner less then six inches from his own face was the face of an equally surprised Joe.
After only a moment, though it seemed much longer to the two face to face foes, Blaze smiled, "Hay there, hows it going."
Suddenly Blaze's fist was up slamming into the Joe's chin with enough force to rip half it's face off. As the Joe fell to the ground with a loud crash, the sound of the fight had seemingly brought the attention of the others near by.
"Tsk, here we go again," Blaze spat as he turned on his heals and began running once more.
No sooner had the red reploid taken more than two steps, then laser fire once again began flashing over his shoulders.

Meanwhile...
*yawn* "What a lousy day..."
A lanky human in a t-shirt and jeans walks alone, along a back alley. With his hands holding the back of his head, his gaze looks ahead, half asleep-half bored.
"Work was annoying as usual, plus I didn't get that cute girl's number...ah well. Things work out for a reason I s'pose...at least that what Pops always used to say...welp time to head home so I can do it all ov-"
Turning a corner, the human suddenly hears busterfire...
Nearby busterfire.
"Oro? That doesn't sound happy... I thought London was mostly peaceful?"
The human reaches behind his back and grabs a massive wrench, holding it one-handed, like a blade as he ponders his next move.
"I could ignore it, heaven knows I get into enough trouble anyway, but someone may be in danger....what should I do...?"
As if on cue a memory comes to the human, of an older man smiling as he speaks.
"My boy, there will come times where you'll see others in trouble. It'll be your choice to help them or not."
"What should I do?"
"While you won't always be thanked, and sometimes even yelled at for interferring, there is no greater feeling than knowing you've helped someone when they needed a hand."
Nodding the guy flashes a quick grin and rushes off towards the sounds of the fighting, tugging on his shirt as he does so....
"Let's go stealthy for a bit and see what i'm up against..."
And gradually the human vanishes until he is out of sight entirely, footprints being his only marker....

Sokuren sighed as he walked into the outskirts of London from the outside. This trip had yielded sub-par results, and he would have to have a word with the reploid who had given him the location of the so-called "salvage treasure trove." However, his mood immediately brightened when he heard the sound of nearby buster fire.
Quickly activating his armor, he moved towards the sounds of conflict until he saw a group of Joes. Ducking back around the corner he had just turned, he waited until the Joes had passed, then ran to where they had been standing. Looking around, He spots a Joe with a crushed face and moves to it, looking around to see if anyone else is there. Seeing nobody he starts quickly dismantling the unfortunate drone, setting the useful parts aside.

"So?" A tiny voice connected to an equally tiny body chirped. Her crystalline wings at a state of rest glimmered ever so slightly. Her smooth armor sparkled even more so.
"So it's not our problem this time. It's not like we're not the only ones laying low out here." Another tiny figure responded to the first. An equally tiny visor was pulled down over her eyes, flashing various bits of useful data. She spied the commotion from her rooftop perch, located some distance away.
"What do you mean?" The third one piped in impatiently. She was not as you would say the quickest, the brightest, nor the most gifted of the three. A bit of trivia made painfully clear by the fact that she had made no attempt to hide, even as the other two had gone prone to make their respective three inch figures show even less.
"I'm saying they're not after us this time, so leave them... Get down from there!" She yelped.
"Huh?" Was the only response Akiko managed, before the first of the group managed to grasp an ankle and yank her back down to the roof. "Get off me fatty, fat, Fatington!" She shrieked aloud, before her tiny form hit the roof with a soft thud and pacified her. "Owie! What was that for?"
"I don't know, I think that weird one spotted us." Ashni responded once all three had taken direct cover. There was a moment of collective silence, as if somehow remaining silent would improve their situation.
"Where's Maya?" Yuki asked, finally breaking the long silence. The tone in her voice had dropped an iota. Someone else's however, had not. "That-a-way!" Akiko boasted, pointing vaguely in the direction the various walking automaton of spewing death were headed. The expressions on the two faces opposing her sunk. "What, is there a booger on my nose?"
It was not long before one of them came to a firm conclusion. "Not my problem." Ashni announced, making sure the coast was clear before beelining up and away from the potential disaster the other two were sure to head into. "Maya can take care of herself."
The second quickest to act put an additional moment into her thought processes. "Akiko, do you want to have some... fun?"
"I like fun!". Akiko hammered in response. Yuki, the frosty one, was admittedly unsurprised, having in fact been counting on a response very much in tune to the one she had received. "Good, it looks like it's time for a bit of your flamboyant heroics, follow me." Akiko was more than happy enough to tag along at the prospect of having some fun. Yuki led the pair through a large roundabout path around and sometimes through the various buildings that spotted the terrain.

Having climbed to the rooftops and now hopping across them (sometimes making leaps that SHOULD be impossible...) the human manages to finally catch up to the sounds he's been hearing...
Hah...Boost over...
Ok... Let's take a look see....
There was a human like shape in red armor running. From a metric f**k-ton of enemies. Six Joe units, three more human like figures though by the looks of the beam weaponry they wielded...
Only a reploid can get a weapon to hold a charge like that....holy F***.
A unit the guy had never seen before, though he had a guess. He'd only heard tales of them, but each design was said to be so striking, you'd know one just by a glance....rumors were flying about the "Killer Joes"...the FX units...
Shit I hope not. If the stories are to be believed, we're all boned from the go...
And an anthromorph. Laying his weapon down so as to lean on it, the human wondered silently to himself what this guy had done, or to put it better, who he had pissed off...
Hopefully they don't have thermals, or if they do, they're slow....In any case...Boost Up.
Deciding to watch for a little longer to better plan his entrance, the human continues running along the rooftops, leaping across the buildings as if he were lighter than the air itself...

"RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING, RUNNING," Blaze mumbled inaudibly to himself as he carried out that exact same action in the opposite direction of his pursuers.
Rounding a corner, Blaze suddenly came to a halting stop. Something had just occurred to him, no one had fired at him for at least the last two blocks. Such a realization meant one of three things. One, he had out run his pursuers, highly unlikely. Two, his pursuers had given up, again unlikely. Three, his pursuers had broken off to set up some sort of trap or ambush, highly likely.
The red reploids, eyes darted around nervously expecting some sort of attack to come from any direction. Not being pursued was an even worse becoming an even worse sensation than being pursued
"Where are you, where are you," Blaze mumbled nervously as both his eyes and scanners scanned the area. "There you are."
Blaze's eye's shot upwards as he detected a cloaked thermal signature on the nearby roof top. The figure appeared humanoid and seemed to be carrying some sort of large....wrench? Blaze reached into his belt and pulled out his emergency pistil pointing it at the target but was stopped from pulling the trigger as the sound of something heavy landed directly behind him.
Swinging around out of instinct, Blaze didn't even have time to see what was behind him before some sort of foot slammed into his chest, hard. Hard enough to send him flying through the semi-decayed brick wall of the building in the other side of the street.
Groaning in pain, Blaze managed to pull himself up rather quickly and take note of his new surroundings. He appeared to be sitting in a decent sized, still furnished living room, although the layer of dust over the furniture and appliances indicated the place had been abandoned for sometime. Looking next to the TV through the newly renovated doorway, Blaze was finally able to see what hit him as it approached menacingly.
This strange Joe like unit stood nearly six feet tall. It had no torso but instead was supported by an arm thick "spine cord" made up of in-numeral rotating disks. It's arms were slightly thinner and ended in five equally lengthed spine shaped fingers, with only one joint in the middle, that appeared to be able to move freely around a circular "palm". The legs appeared to be of equal thickness to the spin and ended in a flat foot which didn't actually touch the ground due to the fact it was supported in the air by three long curved claw toes, two in the front one on the back. The head of this creature appeared to be nothing more than a slightly larger than your fist sized cylinder split open at the front to reveal a single camera like eye that watched it's pray in unblinking silence.
This strange construct was known as an FX model 173 Chaser. Fast, light, agile and deadly once locked onto a target this unit would hunt it down, never stopping, until either it or it's target was destroyed.
"There's ugly, and then there's good god WTF," Blaze smirked to the FX as he stood up. "Personally, though I think you're more of a..."
Blaze didn't get a chance to finish his sentience, as the FX entered the make shift door, it's hands lifted revealing small newly opened circular holes in the creature's "palms". Blaze didn't need anyone to explain to him what was about to happen next as the FX aimed these holes at him.
Jumping to the side just in time, Blaze narrowly got out of the way as large four inch long needle like projectiles nearly silently shot from the holes in rapid succession tracing a line just behind the fleeing replid. With a grunt, Blaze jumped once more throwing himself through the nearest window and back out onto the street.
Not even waisting a moment, the Chaser simply took a step back out of the room and back into the street bringing it's needle guns once again to bare. Each barrel fired a single needle finding a home directly into Blaze's chest armor, piercing through and digging into his chest a good inch before stopping.
Blaze gritted his teeth in pain and closed his eyes waiting for more darts to rain in, but none did. Opening his eyes once more, he realized why. The FX stood silently looking at the holes in his hands. Apparently, it had a very limited ammo supply and that mess it made of the living room had been the majority of it.
Gritting his teeth once more, Blaze reached up and yanked the needles out of his chest. Medically, such an action wasn't the best idea, but in this situation leaving them could prove to be even worse of one. As the last needle clanked to the ground, Blaze stood up once more raising his fists angerly.
"Alright you little bastard, lets do this," Blaze said angerly as he got into a combat stance.
He spat once again when he noticed two more needles sticking out of his left gauntlet. Though these had not hit him, they had managed to sever a hydraulic line rendering his left power fist inoperative.
Closing the needle tubes in it's palms the Chaser once again looked at it's prey. Crouching it's knees down and lifting it's arms up high to it's sides, it curved it's spine into a shape impossible for a human to duplicate yet at the same time allowing it to retain considerable striking force. And strike it did as it lept forward without hesitation at the red reploid.
~~~~~~~~
Else where:
"Hold it right there." One of the three reploids said as they approached Sokuren from three separate sides, guns leveled and ready to fire at any moment.
"Damn scavengers," The second said, "What should we do with this one?"
"You heard the orders," The third said. "Take out the target. Eliminate anyone else in the way. Seeings how we had to come back and see what was happening to our droid here, I'd have to say that that makes this guy in our way. Frag him."
"SIR," The other two responded as they all three began tightening the grip on the triggers.
~~~~~~~~
Else where:
The six remaining Joes quickly split into two group of three heading down and round the alleys where they Reploid and FX fought. Taking up ambush positions they readied their aims down path. Should the reploid choose to run, he would find himself face to face with a hail plasma before he could make it ten feet.

"Ummm, anyway I could talk you out of that? No? Crap."
As Sokuren attempts to stall the three, he rips a part out of the opened torso of the Joe unit, which immediately starts beeping, and throws at them. Hitting his boosters at the same time, Sokuren dashes behind a nearby wall as the part explodes with a bright flash.
As soon as he landed, Sokuren took off running, taking several random turns and getting himself slightly lost in the process, before ducking down an alleyway. Still running full tilt, he takes a look behind him, and predictably trips over something, skidding into the street where the FX unit and Blaze are fighting. After a moment of being stunned due to the sudden change in height, He looks around and sees the fight going on, and quickly ducks into the nearby ruined building, hiding in one of the corners.

Holy crap, what's going on today?
That red guy had almost shot at him, at least until he was so royally booted through that wall. Hopping over the roof of the building allowed the human to witness not only the needles being removed, also noting that a stopped assualt meant the FX unit was out of them. However then the OTHER guy just popped in from who knows where. Furthermore the Joes were all in placement to block off escape...or so they thought...
I just KNOW i'm going to regret this somewhere down the line...
However that doesn't stop the human from leaping off the rooftop, weapon raised behind him and falling down to earth just above the FX unit as it charged toward it's target. Still cloaked, Blaze would be treated to an odd sight.
"OI, IDIOT!"
The Chaser stopped and looked upwards to try to identify the source of the sound. Suddenly it would jerk downward abruptly as if it had been struck by something heavy, as would be also evidenced by the resounding CLANG! that would be heard. Before it could regain it's bearings, the human stuck the curved head of the weapon around it's neck and twisted, ripping the unit's head off with a sickening crunch.
Still cloaked, the human looked up and grinned at the now stunned looking red guy.
"Y'know it's rather rude to attempt to shoot people that are trying to help you. Personally it doesn't bother me but it may to someone else down the road. Oh and two alleys here have Joes waiting to blast you. I'll deal with one, you'll need to do the other."
And with a "see ya" the guy runs off down an alleyway...
The Joes would hear the sounds of someone running towards them but could not see a target. One would activate his thermals only to be greeted by a kick to his face, smashing it in. As the other two spun around and activated their scanners, Max adjusted his weapon to it's buster gun form, firing two shots off at the Joes eye units, destroying them. This would render them unable to "see" anymore and they begin to thrash around as Max chuckles to himself and leap upwards to a nearby fire escape.
The other Joes and units should be recieving distress signals about now...good. Let's see how THEY like a little trap.
As he says this the human cracks his knuckles....and lightly chuckles to himself again.

There was an ambush alright, but not quite the one the human was expecting. The now headless, yet STILL active, FX Chaser jumped down from the fire escape above the one the human stood on. Using the tips of it's clawed fingers it grabbed the escapes grating turning the strait fall into a curved arc. As it's clawed feet neared within inches of it's invisible target's back, it uncoiled it's spinal colom and legs simultaneously increasing the striking force several fold. On impact of foot to back, it released it's grip on the grating allowing itself to fly forward along with it's victim, all of which was done in one fluid motion thanks to the FX's thin flexible body. As the two struck ground the Chaser's clawed toes dug into the ground on each side to prevent him from rolling, mean while one of his clawed hands slammed into the ground digging the claws two thirds of the way into the cement effectively pinning both his wrench and wrench hand to the ground. Mean while, the claws on the other hand rotated evenly spaced around the circular palm. The tips of the fingers clanged together turning the hand into what looked a lot like a very nasty drill tip. This drill look became even more apparent as the fingers began rotating around the palm with a loud whirring. Pulling it's arm back, the FX prepared to strike it's target square in the chest with this new deadly weapon. (OOC: You didn't think it would be that easy to take out an FX now did you *Evil Grin*) ~~~~~~~~ *A short time earlier* "OI!, IDIOT!" The FX paused mid jump attempting to discern the location of this noise. Suddenly it's head snapped down and the casing around the camera eye shattered as something struck it hard. It's spin attempted to bend with the blow to absorb the impact, but the force was too much and neck servos gave a sickening crack as the head flew away. Stumbling from the blow, the FX took several steps back walking back into the damaged living room before collapsing to the ground. For a moment it seemed dead, then it twitched as it's secondary and trinary systems came online. Primary Processor....offline Primary Camera....offline Secondary Porcessor....online Secondary Eco Location scanners....online Secondary Magnetic scanners....online Secondary Thermal scanners....online ... ... Damage Scan... ... Scan complete...repair long recorded.
Retrieving target data.....new target added Target priority...targeting highest threat probability Target found Suddenly the FX twitched again and in a swift motion jumped to it's feet. Ignoring the humanoid standing nearby it ran out of the building, stopped, turned, and in a quick motion jumped onto the wall pressing it's body nearly flat against the building and digging it's clawed fingers and toes into the wall. Like a headless gecko, the chaser scurried across the wall and around the corner and into the ally. Using it's scanners to "see" the invisible foe as the humanoid dispatched the would-be ambushers. Using the noise and activity to it's advantage it once again scurried into a more advantageous position. As it's lept confidently to the fire escape, the FX too jumped at the fire escape. ~~~~~~~~ (Coming soon: Blaze's point of view) Feel free to post I just wanted to get the first part up before someone else posted.

(Nah, I was just hoping it couldn't see anymore. ) To say that Max was caught off guard was an understatement as he first went flying off the escape and hit the ground hard, with a "Hurk" being the only sound he could manage. What was worse the damned headless asshat trapped his main hand and weapon, and even though he couldn't see what was happening undoubtedly due to his being pinned and having his back to his foe, he knew that whirring sound didn't exactly fill him with ease. Fortunately what the sneak didn't know was that by cracking his knuckles, he had prepped for a fight, and this most certainly fit the bill. "GET...OFF...ME!" Balling his free hand up into a fist, the human first layed a punch into the unit's nearest foot, his now increased strength making the ankle crunch and snap. As the unit wobbled and shifted due to this action, Max spun around and layed another punch into the unit's arm that was holding his own prisoner. That was a mistake that the Chaser would never again make as that hand was soon seperated from it's home limb and Max struggled to lift up the now disembodied appendage as it was still dug into the ground. Doing so the human kicks his attacker sending it back a few feet as Max himself rolls back upright into a fighting stance, knowing that even without both feet, this thing could still charge him...however one burning question was on his mind at the moment. "How the HELL can you still see me?! Nevermind that i'm cloaked, YOUR FREAKING HEAD IS MISSING!" It was then that the human noticed a burning pain coming from his back. Reaching behind with his free hand found blood dripping from several scratches...undoubtedly due from the Chaser's clawed feet when they bit into him. "Ow...Yep. Starting to regret it now. Such a short amount of time too, it's a new record."

"Acoustic contamination has reached nominal levels. Subject has ceased movement. No other subjects appear to be moving within."
A small black and yellow creature imagined up from the very realm of fantastical myth, and then given robotic form, maintained a level state of altitude. Her tiny ear was pressed up against a wall in a rather peculiar fashion. Her head crooked to the side in a manner that allowed her mechanical wings to beat out a consistent amount of thrust without scraping the wall itself. Though it was questionable, as to whether such an action would damage the wall, or the series of dagger-like yellow protrusions that pulsated at a rate just shy of conventional weaponry.
It was almost immediately after the aforementioned comment; that the wall, just a few feet down from where Sokuren had taken up residence, suffered a rather severe and irreparable structural failing. Namely, it had exploded inwards in a billowing display of dust and debris. The debris was followed in suit by the form of an adolescent youth, by all physical indications a human in the earliest of teen years. She seemed at peace in the cloud of dust, as an object she had appeared to be leveling towards Sokuren disappeared with nary a trace.
"You're... not with them are you?" She spoke softly, in a distinctly feminine manner as she emerged from the haze with short, meaningful steps. She dusted herself off of the rather fine collection of dust that had gathered upon her various articles of clothing. Behind her, the cloud of dust was whipped into an absolute frenzy as a tiny being stirred it up into a sizable, but rather short lived dust devil. The tiny being then landed a few feet away, pressing her ear upon the ground. The beating of her wings ceased entirely, granting an uncharacteristically clear view of her beautifully patterned twin sets of wings.

Upon seeing the wall burst inwards almost right next to him, Sokuren knocked a nearby table over and had his pistol pointed at the dust cloud, though when the girl had started talking he had immediately put it away.
"You mean either of the groups fighting out there? No, I just do independent salvage and repair work. I have nothing to do with any of them, I was just trying to get a few parts to sell when I got caught in the middle."
As he talked, Sokuren walked around the table, holding up his hands to show he had no weapons out and deactivating the visor and face-mask of his helmet. Positioning himself in a place where he still had a way out of the room other than the newly created hole in the wall, he said
"My name is Sokuren, who are you? And more importantly, to me at least, are you gonna start shooting at me too?"

"No." She responded in a manner that suggested it had been a bit of a silly question to ask in the first place. It seemed like a silly question to her at least. "Not unless you shoot at me first."
"You're welcome to call me Maya if you want, that's what everybody else calls me at least. Which leads me to my next point; the rather incredible amount of danger you are in right now." In what particular fashion her name served to segue into the topic of 'danger' remained a particular mystery for now. "Do you wish to stand and face it head-on, or do you wish to sit and hide? I can't guarantee your safety either way, but if you make your stand here, you would do so alone." She spoke and moved about in a fashion that made her seem almost entirely defenseless. A far cry from the image one would expect of someone that was capable of brushing an entire wall aside.
"I found her! Boy, that was a fun game!" Akiko shouted as she burst in through the makeshift doorway. Upon noticing the other occupant, she waved friendlily towards him "Hi!" With yet another trailing just behind her; it had not only become a rather loud, but also a fairly crowded room.

"Well, I'd prefer not to fight at all, me being a non-combat model and all. I've always been better at fixing things then destroying them. I'm going to wait for a good moment and get out of the combat zone, at least that's my plan."
As he had been talking, Sokuren had moved over to a place where he could keep watch on the engagement outside, but was still relatively hidden. Jumping slightly at the rather loud entrance of the Cyber Elves.
"Hello there, I assume that they are your companions?" Sokuren says as he looks at Maya "Well, seeing as nothing is shooting at us at the moment..." Sokuren leans against a wall and takes out a part from his storage buffer and begins working at it, streamlining it and making it several times smaller that it's original size.

"Yes, they are." Maya responded quietly, taking a quick peek herself out the other entrance. "We've been together forever, so we're kind of like family." She smiled at the thought. "Hey... uh, you know in a past age, they used to call someone with your particular talents a combat medic, or even a hero. Anyone can squeeze a trigger and extinguish life. It takes a far better man to do the opposite. I… envy you for that." Her voice ever so slightly trailed off towards the end.
"Listen..." She continued in earnest, sensing that their state of tranquility was temporary at best. "I'm really sorry you got caught up in this, but I could also really use your help out there. If power is all which you lack, I can give you that. I can give you that in spades. My companions have that particular quality to them. A certain raison d'être if you will. "If you lack courage though..." She held her hand to her chest. "That comes from here, and I can't give it to you." Maya shook her head slightly in a back and forth motion.
"Please decide quickly. I can loan you a better side-arm and even one of my companions if you have the courage to go forward. I fear I cannot afford them otherwise, for what lies beyond that door."
Yuki had since made her way into the room, brining the total occupants to five, though that figure was about to change. Her face was ripe in anticipation, but it also held a sad seriousness. Akiko was far more forward with her thought process; she just wanted to see something get blown up. Zephyra was still quietly pressed up against the floor, struggling to make some sense of all the commotion going on outside, but with little success.
