My brain is awash with headaches with pictures!
Someone off center: You mean ideas?
YEAH, THOSE!
How about a faction specializing in salvaging and repairs?
Basically this group goes into old areas/ruins and battlefields to grab what they can find, making this group rag-tag but unpredictable. Armors and abilties for this faction can be totally unexpected depending on where/what it's members find their parts.
As for relations, this faction gets along with all other groups and is often called for retrieval missions, though if a specific member has other talents, they can be asked to undertake other missions also.
So in essence this would be the group of choice for builders, explorers and I suppose "thief" types in general.
What say you all?

I like the idea. All the factions we have now are either an armed force, or a supplier to those armed forces. This'll give us a faction without a direct association to combat, just to mix the equation up a bit.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea for a faction. If you wanna write up a prototype of that faction in the faction thread and we can brainstorm some ideas up form there if ya want (I left that thread open for a reason ya know ). As well, those factions I put up are just the basic ideas for ones I've had rattling around in my brain for the past two years or so and if anyone has any ideas for how to improve them or mod them feel free to write them down and we can all work on them. ~~~ As for the Joes, good work I hadn't even really planned on writing up a character sheet for them but now we've got one to look at ;D. Although it should be noted that Joes aren't strictly limited to the NA faction. Other factions or governments might have their own types of Joes or even bought a few of the NA's. They're just, however, more often seen and used in NA than other places. As for stats, like I said before, I don't really plan on using them this time as doing the math has seemed to slow down the previous RPs to the point of stand still at times . But if you want to use them as reference, feel free (I personally don't plan on using them). If we do happen to be in a situation where two characters need to compare stats (say two fast units trying to out run each other) I'd prefer to leave it the players working it out amongst themselves, or if necessary asking a third party to decide. Mind you meta gaming will still be vamped with extreme prejudice . edit: also just a note I added the word Joes to the character sheet name just so people know they're one and the same.

'kay i'll amend the Joe post so that it reflects their main use by NA.
As for the stats I don't really feel like using them right now either but figured that since we'll be seening Joes a lot, that they needed a set list.
And i'll type up the faction thread now...

Cool, and while you're at that I think I'll write up a sheet for the FX Series as well.

'kay done. Now then let's get some thoughts flowing here. 1. I'm not 100% on the whole "hidden base" idea, for some reason I keep thinking that NA would be able to scan for it somehow... 2. I wanted a general sense of "Hey, we're the rouges of the game!" with this group, and I think they turned out ok. 3. Members of this group will be EXPECTED to have unique armors and abilties so if you have a fish anthromorph that attacks with a sonic guitar, these are your friends. (though in all honesty I don't really see any of the other groups having any limits on what their units can do...) Edit: And seeing as they're basically Phantom's footmen, I made the "Ghost" type Joes NA exclusive. That a problem?

S.P.E.A.R. seems pretty cool, almost the kind of group Blaze would be in, except I wanna keep him more of a neutaral in the begining at least. As for the hidden base, just think of it this way, the better detection equipment gets the better detection evading equipment gets . As for the Ghosts, I see no problem in making them NA exclusive. Other groups could try to "mimic" the ghosts abilites but they would probably be less effective or have different features. BTW, It's been a long time and I can hardly remember who Copy X's generals are. I remember Levi is the only female, an underwater type, and cold elemented. Then there's Lupin, and Ghost, but I can't remember much about them. And I belive there is one more right?

Ok here's the first one for player review.
FX Series-Gladiator
Description: An upgrade to the Panthenon Warrior, this series have normal sized arms but are twice as strong as their cousins, and wear higher grade armor, that is not only durable to the point of being able to take several hits but is capable of absorbing some energy from beam and elemental attacks, effectively cutting the attack's power. Built to stand tall against most opponents, this series will usually be found guarding important people and areas. The one weakness they might have is that with all their armor, they move slowly...
but perhaps that is also for a reason....
Physical Description: Colored gold with black joint segments, with heavy armor covering their entire body. Twin red eyes and a spiked helmet reminisant of samurai of old. Their arms are normal sized, but have knuckle weapon-like attachments bonded to their hands. Overall they have a bulky appearance befitting their name, and should be treated with caution.
Stats: STR+2 CON+2 SPD-1
Armor
Parts-
Head: FX Scanners- Standard design audio and visual scanners for the FX series. Has upgraded scanners for cloaks, players beware.
Body: Giga Plate- Fortified battle armor designed to take a beating and keep on moving. Also has some absorbtion properties.
Arms: Concussion Gauntlets-These knuckles, bonded to the unit's hands take in both internal energy and energy absorbed through their armor and amplify it, releasing it in a powerful surge upon making contact with an object. Powerful and capable of shattering stone, even hardy fighters should avoid these.
Legs: Dash Boots-Standard for all FX units, these allow for a Megaman X like dash for the unit.
Ability-All FX units have some special ability, the Gladiator Series can shed their outer armor to become lighter and much, much faster. Any non allied units can be hit by flying armor bits for minimal damage. While defense goes down a bit, they keep their absorbtion property and boost their speed, also gaining a new ability.
Stats Changes: CON-1 SPD+3
Armor
Parts-
Body: Hyper Plate- Less sturdy than the Giga Plate, but still grants better than average defense. Also has some absorbtion properties.
Spirit Booster-Exclusive to the Gladiators, this stays inactive until the units shed their outer armor. It creates a field around the unit's legs that adjusts the flow of time around them, in short making these units capable of moving faster than most can even percieve, giving this booster it's name of "Spirit". It also makes these units deadly, hence giving them their other name "Death Runners".
What say you guys?

And....TWO!
FX Series-Marionette
Description: A unique model, these units are thin and move in an eerie fashion, either swaying in the air as they are usually hovering in the air, or in the instances that they are on the ground, crawl quickly on all fours, like spiders. Emitting a creepy laughter constantly, these units are one of the many stealth units for the FX series.
Physical Description: Colored blood red with purple joint segments, these have thin arms, legs and bodies, making them appear as dolls. However do NOT be fooled, this unit is deadly in the right circumstances.
Stats: SPD+2 INT+3
Armor
Parts-
Head: Scope Lens/Sonic Amplifier- The Marionette series has a near perfect scanning system, making all attempts at stealth fail. If you want to sneak by these things, take out their heads first.
Body: Terra Plate- Standard FX series armor. Does not carry absorbtion properties.
Form Shift-Inactive in normal form. Must be triggered by unit.
Arms: Magnetic Gauntlets-Allows units to stick to metal surfaces, to chase after their targets, no matter where they run.
Raze Claws- The unit's fingers will split down the middle, allowing for knife-like blades to protrude from each finger and thumb on both hands. Brutally sharp.
Legs: Dash Boots-Standard for all FX units, these allow for a Megaman X like dash for the unit.
Magnetic Anklets- Same purpose as the gauntlets.
Ability-All FX units have some special ability, the Marionette's can mimic a foe, down to their voice and mannerisms, to blend in. This ability is unknown to the general public and even to high-ups in the world. In fact only Copy X and his four guardians and Brant Corp would know of this ability...
So be wary when talking to people on the street, you never know....who they really are.
Stats: Same.
Armor
Parts-
Head: Voice Synthisizer- Capable of mimicing any voice to a near perfect degree. However those with superb audio system can hear a slight metal sound in the unit's voice.
Body:Form Shift- Can mimic a chosen form, but not chosen abilties of that form.

They look pretty awesome to me, especially the Marionette. Those kind of abilities would make them really unique, and give them some great usage for plot material. Same with the other FX unit as well, with the ability to shed their armor and really mix it up.
