Biography:
Built for stealth operations, under the Specter project, Ioata is the only surviving member of the project. Unit 34 off the assembly line at Aeris Corporation’s research and development facilities, Ioata Megiddo marked the culmination of the company’s progress in the field of stealth and reploid technologies. Shortly after his creation the entire staff of the facility suffered a mysterious death. All prototype units were permanently disabled and all blueprints disappeared. The Aeris Corporation and its government deny all existence of a “Specter” project or the existence of a Unit 34. Despite its denial a single project log has been recovered.
Ioata Megiddo, the black armored reploid, wandered the world many years before coming to Japan. Upon arrival he found that reploids were being oppressed with more and more aggressive policies being signed in against them every day. Upon seeing this he feared his darkest side, the side responsible for the Aeris R&D massacre, may show itself again. He feared that seeing this oppression would spark a repeat of his past, as the Aeris Corporation practices had done 36 and a half years ago. The R&D team had been granting the prototypes consciousness and maybe even a “soul”, only to have them dismantled or destroyed completely upon them living out their failure or completion of testing.
The last Specter he has been a loner and now finds himself in a land that is against his kind. Ioata would not give up however because he feels the need to liberate his brethren from their oppressors. If the humans wanted to push reploids into a position of inferiority and subservience, then he would not rest until all humans and the reploids who foolishly betray their kind by taking up with them have perished. If it is to be war, then so shall it be. No reploid will bend to human laws so long a Specter survives.
-Project Specter Log- 120280– Unit 34 has been equipped with light bending camouflage, rendering the unit invisible to x-ray, infra red, and visible light spectrum detection methods; thermal masking, hiding its heat signature; and sound deadening, silencing its operating noises. It has been armed with various beam and conventional weaponry, and programmed for assassination. Support armors have been developed that include such enhancements as: 360º vision and sensory upgrades, magnetic boots, speed and movement enhancements, additional radar and sonar masking, and other possible armors lending the unit additional functionality to perform its primary intended tasks as well as any secondary requirements.
Unit 34's creator was not killed in the incident surrounding his creation's escape. He is in fact alive and un-known to Specter the head of Aeris Corporation.
Physical Description:
The NS-10A-U series reploid features all black armor, long white hair, grey eyes and an overall ninja/assassin like appearance. It features a full coverage helm that covers its face, but allows its hair to hang down behind it. The helm has 8 forward facing lenses and 4 rearward facing lenses. On its back it features six rods for stealth systems cooling and boosting (think Lightning style Megaman, from Battle Network 3). All weapons on U34's body are internalized with the four nuematic piledrivers that serve as the primary weapons hidden on the back of the wrist such that they extend when used past his knuckles on either side of his hand. The armor has red trim and all non armor components are either black of in the case of its synth-skin beige.
Unit 34 Ioata Megiddo has a scar extending from his left temple to his lower jaw, and another on his right wrist visible with out gloves on.
Writing Sample
In a dark room, a solitary human watches several monitors while sitting in a command chair. Looking upon these monitors he sees the images of the cameras feeds linking this security room to the rest of the complex. It’s his sixth month at Aeris Corporation. He looks at the hall camera and notices a fellow guard has been still for quite a while.
‘He’s not moving….why isn’t he moving….how long has he been still?’
“Todd? Hey can you hear me?” No response…he couldn’t see any blood and had seen no unordinary activity. He rewound the tape…and could see nothing.
“Hey someone check on Lab 12 and see what’s wrong with Todd.”
“Roger”
Good at least someone would go check on him while he contacted his superiors. He looked over to the Lab 12 feed, no movement. The humans had been still before Todd, and the reploids showed no signs of functionality.
“Son of a…” He looked back to the hall feed; the new guard was looking over the body and suddenly stopped moving.
“Hey are you alright?” Nothing. He looked to the blueprint and design labs, no movement there either, and it had the look of a break in. He looked over each feed to find people slouched in chairs, slumped over tables and bars, and equipment still running as if its human operators were still free of the grasp of motionless death. He then realized that there is only one place left before whatever this was had completed its work.
He picked up the phone one last time and dialed the head office. Amidst the ringing it came, it was silent. He couldn’t hear, see, or feel anything as death’s dark embrace crept over him.
“Hello, main office. Can I help you?" a voice shot forth from the phone as it fell into the darkness of the room.
