Blaze pressed the pillow against his head even harder as he futilely attempted to block out the screeching sound of the alarm clock. After several frustrating minutes, he finally gave into the inevitable and through the pillow across the room and drowsily sat up. Turning off the ever so annoying wake up system he proceed to the bathroom to take care of his morning necessities.
Once fully clothed, yet still only half awake, the humanoid reploid made his way out of his room, down the hall, and into the parking garage for his morning shift. Upon entering he was immediately flanked by two of his assistance.
"Monin' sir, ya sur look like hell dis mornin'," The tall one on his left said speaking with some sort of unidentifiable accent.
"Ya ya ya," Blaze grumbled followed by an immediate yawn. "So what's on the agenda today."
"Here you go, sir," The sorter one on his right said handing him a data pad. Though at first glance one would have thought this shorter mechanic was a young man, her voice made it very clear that he was in fact a she. "We blew a cylinder jeep three last night, two of the ride chaser are over heating after only a few minutes of use and we can't figure out why, golem two's broke a rooter during it's start up test run and now the entire left side has ceased functioning, and....well.....durning last night's training run one of the hover cruisers had a...um...accident."
Despite the fact he was engrossed in reading the data pad, Seeing the duo stop out of the corner of his eyes, Blaze too came to a stop. Pulling the data pad he spotted the reason for the sudden ending of momentum. Directly in front of them sat a charred blackened lump of metal that one could assume had once been the so called hover cruiser.
So surprised at the cruiser's destroyed state, Blaze could only stare for nearly a minute before he could respond, and when he did respond there was only one thing that came to mind.
"So...I'm guessing Fallout was involved some how right?"
The taller man laughed, "Na, not dis time. One of dem tublar tingys wa miss alind an ik kas sum surt of sperk dat hit dat fuel chamber an befo dos fulish gun tooters cood fingar oot wha tado dat der cruiser when BOOM."
Once again Blaze stared at his associate blankly before turning and addressing the short companion, "I understood the word Boom."
Smirking the shorter mechanic patted Blaze on his shoulder, "Don't worry sir, that's all I could get too."
"Akkk," The tall man said waving the duo off before walking away, "noon oh yas knoo has ta speek propally anywho."
Chuckling, Blaze tossed the pad back to his remaining companion, "Riiiight, get Ron and Fredric on the jeep. Do a full diagnostic on the chaser's heat sinks and if nothing turns up tare open the hover units and see if something's clogging they exhaust ports. As for the Golem, I'll take charge of that. I swear, those things are more trouble to keep running than there worth."
"You won't be saying that when there the only thing standing between you and one of Neo Arcadia's fortress cannons, now will you," The short mechanic said once again smirking.
"Eeeeeeeh, get to work," Blaze said pretending to smack his companion in the back of the head as she turned to begin her duties.
Sighing and yawning once again, the red reploid made his way over to the section of the garage reserved for the still in service golems.
