I expect all your characters to wet themselves (lubricate for you reploids), scream like little girls, and flee in terror of RYS. Because one on one melee combat will mean pain and hurt! Like a retarded version of the Borg. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE, YOU WILL BE REDUCED TO MEATY COMPONENTS! ...You DO know i'll probably just avoid him entirely right? Tempest: INT=15 Hence i'm not stupid enough to have the following happen: "Oro? That's odd, my sensors seem to be jammed from something in the area..." Random Victim: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! OH GOD THE PAIN! Random Victim 2: Is that my torso you're cutting up? IT IS! MY LOVELY TORSO!!! "Hmm...That sounds fun, think i'll go over there." And dangit, I take a few days off and people flood to this place. What, do you guys memo each other when i'm not in the room?

To Kehaul: While I was working on the back story I came up with an idea of what to do with Strike. It has already been established the Strike dies, so I came up with an idea of incorporating it into a potential future storyline. I also have plans to give camios to famus PCs from the previous games such as: Seige Lion, Will, Falcon, Zeta, Glaive and a couple others. to Rae: Sure you think Fear is over rated now, but just wait until all you 1's try to intimidate someone for information. Not to mention the fact it's also going to effect the odds of enemies retreating during a fire fight. On the other hand, those of you with 1's will have a really good chance of calming people down when their frightened and thus reducing the chance of allied NPCs retreating. Fear was meant to be a stat that has advantages at both high and low levels. On another note....I'm gone for a few hours and suddenly everyone decides to start posting. edit: Right now I'm not sure if I'm ganna start the story in Yoron or in the Russian base. I intend on having G1 do the send off, so it would make more since for it to be in Russia, but then again him being at Yoron for a meeting wouldn't be all that unusual.

Ah the joys of Fear.
Giltia: My Character can make even the most soulless bastard soil himself.
Everyone else: Um...ours just kinda put people at ease.
RYS: RRRRRRRRRRRWAR BIYOTCHS!
Edit: And let me the first to wish you a happy birthday Dewei. May it be filled with cheer and joy.
And enough cake to clog all your arteries at once.

I've got an idea for a simple weapon system to use as well as what I want to to write to start the story. However, I'm ganna wait until tomorrow, since I have Thursday off, to start writing.
If we're lucky we might be able to get the story started some time early next week ;D
Edit: Crud I just remembered I need to do something for sub armors as well XP. Oh well, I guess I can do that along with the weapons.

Well, he actually died because of injuries sustained at Giga City. Given the back-story mentioned the explosion; it'd canonically tend to suggest he was fatally injured there as well. Not that many people probably still remember, or might even consider island events canon given the all around confusion at that period in general.

Yes but like any good spin off series, I intend on taking a few liberties and change a few things to make it more fun to read. ;D

I just read Akikio's sheet. And d**n near wet myself all through. It's going to be fun to RP with her. Tempest:....Did...did you just set that man on fire? Akiko: Who, me? *pouts* Tempest: My mistake then, I must have done that somehow. But watch out for Fallout, he might step on her for giggles. Fallout: SQUISHEE!

...You DO know i'll probably just avoid him entirely right? Some hero you are... "People are dying violently, I shall thank the powers that be for these wonderful distractions and flee into the night." RYS would make Copy X cry himself to sleep at night. As for weapons systems... the weapon system always seemed so constricting to me. I mean, there's no way I could use RYS if I could only have a set number of weapons. RYS IS a weapon. Which you'll all see soon enough.

I'm not going to restrict the number of weapons or attack skills...eh rather then explaining you can just look at it in a few days when it's up. But watch out for Fallout, he might step on her for giggles. Fallout: SQUISHEE! XD *Rain and Blaze are sitting at a table playing a card game* Akiko: *Comes flying by too fast to be seen* EEEEEEEK I SAID GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!! *dissapears around a corner* Fallout: *comes running in just behind Akiko* COME BACK COME BACK!!! *rounds around same corner* Rain: *glairs at Blaze* You dressed Akiko up as a Yuffie plusie while she was asleep again didn't you? Blaze: *Grins ear to ear* Yes, yes I did.

@weapons
You could just keep it really simple and just re-apply the same aspect to weapons as you did to stats. Something along the lines of:
Damage: The destructive capability of this weapon. (EX: 1: This is a nerf bat, coated in plushy rubber, surrounded by a fluffy pillow using non-abrasive tape. 8: Your standard faction-issue grade weapons. 10: Your more exotic weapons, typically crafted for your own use by a scientist somewhere. 15: It slices, dices, pierces, bludgeons ... and it really, really hurts! 20: When your megaton warhead was done abolishing your target into a pasty substance, that then disintegrated that substance into subatomic particles, it still had enough energy left over to become sentient, contemplate the meaning of life, and decide it had lived a rather unfulfilled life ... then it takes up musical composition and revives music in a post war era ... which it won the Nobel Peace Prize for ending.)
Range: The expected accurate range of a weapon, limited of course by the actual possible range. (EX: 1: A #2 pencil worn down to the nub with no eraser. 4: Generic beam saber and sword length. 8: Roughly 50 feet. 12: Football field, 300 feet. 16: Height of the Eiffel tower, 1000 feet. 20: d**ned if you know, you've never been around to check where exactly it did end. 1-2miles or ~5000-10,000 feet.)
Then just decide what other aspects you want: accuracy, zone of effect, damage type, elemental, pierce, charge capability, etc. Leave stuff like dual wielding and the encyclopedic index of reference terms and formulas aside.
@akiko comments
Wow, you guys read her so easily. I so totally envision her pouting when she doesn't get her way. To heck with charismatic word use, nothing beats a 3 inch tall cutie who's threatening to cry if she doesn't get her way. *awwww* Except RYS, as I fear her patented powers of persuasion are of little use against him. I'm sure it'll work on Fallout at the very least.
Akiko: *huggles Fallout's horned head.*
Fallout: *vein twitching while reciting a peace mantra.*

I think anything less than maxed charisma would be completely lost on RYS. You can't persuade something that exists solely to kill!
However, you can distract him with a trail of helpless humans.
He's stupid after all. His greatest weakness!

Actully, that's almost exactly what I had in mind for the weapon system .

Some hero you are... "People are dying violently, I shall thank the powers that be for these wonderful distractions and flee into the night." Look, part of living for so long is the knowledge of when to fight, and when not to.... MOSTLY sure going up against something that can give Pyramid Head a run for his money falls under the latter. But I see your point, I guess I can at least have Tempest say hello. T: ; I'm doing WHAT?! RYS: *giggle* And as for the subarmors, we don't really need anything complicated. Just so long as no one wants to fire off nukes with theirs we should be fine... *eyes Giltia*

RYS weapon system = 20 for damage, 1 for range. Again, emphasis on the "jump gypsy, jump" factor of RYS. He needs to make direct contact to inflict damage. But if he does catch you, it'll eat right through your armor. And flesh. And bone. Blazing sword through butter. Giga Duriru BRRRKKKKKAAAAH through Heavens. Etc, etc...
Maybe I should lower his speed a bit more?
Nah. Then he wouldn't be able to chase anyone. And that would ruin his purpose entirely. Even then, with less speed he can still teleport short distances, so either way he's not going to make it easy to flee. He is a plodding tornado of death.
Never will he have a ranged weapon. He's here to lift you up, and rip your skin off ala Silent Hill movie. Not fire Gravitational Beams through your Megastructure (read Blame! for the reference).
If he can't catch you, you win! If he does catch you, you're disfigured, slammed through a wall, and given a second, albeit harder chance to escape on one leg while leaking motor oil.
Mmm... meaty components.

Sorry for no posts for the last few days, work+cold weather+holiday season=worn down Trueblaze.
Anyway, I'll consider possibly maybe thinking about probably getting to work on getting the game ready to start.
