A group created out of nesscessity, S.P.E.A.R. (Salvage, Protect, Explore, And Repair.) was founded by a group of mechanics and vagabonds that understood that with the growing conflict would come chances to obtain and sell fairly used parts and gear. Not to mention the rewards for saving the local townsfolk from trouble every now and then. After creating S.P.E.A.R, the leaders set their base in an unknown area. It is said that only members know where it is, and that if the group takes a fancy to you, you won't find them, they'll find you.
While it is the creed of the group to not engage in battle unless absolutely forced or unless on a mission for another group, there are some members that are known to enjoy a good battle and will seek one out every so often. Where their real strengths lie however, is their talent for finding and repairing gear and weapons, be they from a battlefield or a anicent ruin, as well as a knack for finding lost ruins and gaining "unobtainable" intel.
As a natural result the weapons and armor this group wields is not uniform and each member will vary in skills and ability. All however have natural talents for either Stealth, Repairwork or Exploration, and thus make great guides for almost any situation.
Members are encouraged to work as merchs in down time to keep their skills sharp as well as earn money for the group, and while they might be a bit scruffy, it's said that a S.P.E.A.R. member will always complete a given job to it's end...
though how much gets blown up is another story.
Strengths: Stealthy, intelligent and fearless. Base is hidden so only members can get access. Best used when in non friendly territory/used in "escort/recon and data retrieval" type missions.
Weaknesses: Small, and very, VERY underfunded. In a fight, they have to hit hard and fast compared to other factions due to their homebrew weapons and armor.
Relations: All groups view S.P.E.A.R. with friendly, and wary eyes. Some say that no member of the group can be truly trusted but it can also be said that if you MUST meet a S.P.E.A.R. unit, you'll want them on your side and not your foe's...
Important Members: Oscar (2nd Division Head), Rayne (6th Division Head)
