"Should I go get Ed from the mail room then?"Genesis wondered aloud as he pressed a a button on his armpad and heard his body whirr. Out of sight of the others in the room, his armor interlocked, leaving only his back unlocked from external infiltration of dust and/or sand. He became a little more bulky, because his joints where now covered by a light artificial material with a awfully familiar resemblence to plastic.

"As always Strike, I am ready for duty."
Tempest looked up and gave a small nod, before lowering it again.
"As for capabilties, I haven't lost many tricks when stealth is required and I can hear much better then others my age...as for my armor, while appearing broken I can assure you it is sealed from anything attempting to worm it's way inside. Should anything somehow manage..."
With a very audible WHOOSH! air was expelled from most of the cracks in Tempest's armor.

"Hey, the older look is good for you. Gives you a sort of... I don't know, wizened look. And don't worry about it, after all, healing's in Cinnamon's genes. Well. Programming. Look, humans invented the language, we're allowed to screw it up every once in a while." He threw a weak punch for Alter's shoulder, a friendly gesture to an old comrade. "After all, we Reploids have a habit of not dying you know. Something about stubbornness, I guess. Talk to Zero about it, I'm sure he'd get it." He nods to Alter, then turns to the rest of the group. "So. I want a report, post-haste. Who here is ready, and what capabilities do you all have?" Alter spun around crazily at the punch, which had knocked him somewhat off-balance, but it didn't do anything to harm his mood. "Heh, well, we all know Zero is a special case. Some guys are just too mean to die." As Strike casually tossed orders at the rest of the group, Alter pulled the stealth remote out of his lab coat pocket, and pressed a button. The hovering brown thingy shimmered into sight out of nowhere, and immediately a heat haze became visible over it. "I might not be much good for fighting, but this device will generate a large visual cloaking field. I expect HQ ordered it knowing that not every Hunter is a master of disguise." He pressed a button, and half of the occupants of the room vanished, including the device and himself. "All in all, I'm very proud of it." He pressed the button again, and things returned to normal.

((ooc: blame brawl for my lack of posting))
Sokuren walked quietly into the teleporter room just in time too see the cloaking device in action. He quickly scanned it, figuring that if the creator wasn't going he would probably have to be the one to repair it if it broke down during the mission.
Walking to an unoccupied section of the room, he leaned against the wall and moved his right arm to a position across his body, where a small holo-screen emanated from the crystal, looking it over quickly, he gave a satisfied nod to himself and deactivated the screen. staying there against the wall, he waited for the mission to start

Zackary looked at the grandmaster entering in the room. He could barely see him, due to his aura being so bright. He stared at the grandmaster, but then walked over to him. He needed to ask him something.
"Grandmaster........."
The grandmaster didn't have a happy face on, and he looked at Zackary, with a much more serious look, and said
"You know exactly what I am going to do, but I need to tell you something. You completed a small portion of training. I might not come back. Don't be disappointed if this happens. Remember though, we have been like family ever since you got here. So if something happens, don't take it personally. You have to remember the training."
Zackary started to cry a bit, and he said:
"......but.........but I don't know..........is it enough?"
"Zackary, training never enough. I still training even as grandmaster. But Zackary, do you...."
Before the grandmaster could finish, Zackary responded quickly, with sad kind of confident look in his eyes.
"Believe? I believe in something, but by doing so, I put many people at risk. Is the risk worth taking, grandmaster?"
"I already told you what you need to know. I have guided you with integrated training that would be the same as a couple years of experience in martial arts. BUT....... only you really know the answer to your question. It is up to you to make up your mind. I cannot influence what you believe in."
"But what if you did?"
"Then you are acting like a fool. You don't understand what I believe in, and you don't understand the risks involved. You are still young, listen by hearing, watching, and feeling"
"What don't I understand?! My parents........." Zackary said in anger but then was stopped by a finger. The grandmaster paused for a minute, and then cleared his throat. He took a moment again to close his eyes, and be silent. Then he talked again.
"Zackary...you are just like everyone else in this room. Do NOT think for a second you are any better off, or worse off than people here. Everyone has a similar problem, even if it doesn't appear to be that way. That's why we are here."
"But you didn't answer my question." Zackary said in a worried manner.
"You will not understand this at this moment in time, but I will tell you anyways. When you see someone die wheter it was right or wrong, you deal with it, and move on. When you see someone live, wheter it was right or wrong, you deal with it, and move on. But when you are the person, that decides if a individual should live or die. You are stuck with it forever, no matter how you try to forget it."
Zackary understood but not completely. He didn't see how it applied to the grandmaster, but he saw how it applied to him. He saw his parents die, he was too young to do anything, he was shot, but lived. He suddenly decided he should deal with it, and move on.
"How does that apply to you......I can deal with it, and move on, but I don't see where you are going with this."
"Do you realize how many choices I could have made, to decide wheter an individual lives, or dies in the course of this war? Hundreds of thousands of people. Maybe even a million. I lost count. But not once, did I ever take the life of an individual. But I was deciding on all of those decisions. If not, I could have dealt with it, and moved on. I have to live with all those decisions I made, with the rest of my life. What happened to those people who lived? Did nature take it's course, and kill them? Did those people go and live on normal lives far away from Neo Arcadia? Did those people get up and kill others? I have to live with those choices, and I believe that peace must come through non violence. Martial arts in general, still doesn't justify any reasons we should fight for peace. It's good enough though. (the grandmaster joked.) It's what I believe in. I believe I cannot kill a single man, in the existance of this world, because if I kill, I am being counter productive on my reasons to have peace. Peace comes through letting others live, regardless of what they do, and it comes through time and patience. With that being what I believe in, I also believe that will be the ultimate factor in ending the war. Defeating an enemy with brute force, and winning the current war, will only start up future wars. Peace will stop this war, and all other wars from happening."
"I finally get what you are trying to say. But what about......."
"No exception. The war would still continue, regardless if that happened or not. But I have a feeling, I might have to change my mind. I don't know if it's the right thing to do. Either way it's bad Zackary."
"Yes sir."
"Zackary to answer your question from before. As long as you have a clear mind, calm body, and good spirit, you will always win. If you don't have even one of the three, you will always lose. They all need to work in unison."
The grandmaster smiled, and Zackary smiled back as well.

Talking. And lots of it. While some conversation before battle is soothing...
"Strike asked a question. And so far I am the only one who answered."
"Excuse me!"
Everyone would no doubt now be glancing Tempest's way, he himself now standing.
"You were asked to do two things, either make sure your armors are properly sealed or don something to cover them. Secondly give a confirmation that you are ready to go and inform our CO of your abilties."
"I'd like to see them try this with Zero...Now X on the other hand..."
"Now unless i'm going deaf AND blind in old age I didn't hear or see anyone other than myself and this fellow do both. *A nod to Genesis* Correct that, please."
And with that, Tempest sat back down and resumed his meditation. Noticing Grandmaster Dewei in the room he smiled under his mask.
"Always good to see hiim in good health..."
Looking up towards the older man, Tempest bows deeply.
"You appear to have a strong disciple. He must have a good teacher."

A smirk crossed Rain's face as Tempest finally stood up, reiterating everyone's orders. Rain herself is properly insulated for aquatic needs, so she doesn't even need to check, knowing she's already set; she simply smiled at Strike, giving off a wave.
"All set to go!" She says, holding up a canteen of water with a smile.

Exiam buttons closed his coat and pulls his hat down looking the way of strike with some admiration in his eyes while he gave off a salute. "All set sir.." His clothes would protect him from the sand plus his joints would work under most conditions except a high pressure from gravitational forces. He smirked and was proud of it, he had been working for the upgrade to his joints for a long time. Far to often he had to really on the fighters to get him out of trouble. No longer, last time he had heard them whine for 5 missions about it.

"Blaze. I want a list of staff attending this mission and five minutes. Can you do that?"
Though he'd been out for a while, Strike, even as a Cyber Elf, could think. This was perhaps his greatest strength. The man had always been at least a decent strategist, and was quite capable of leading his way into battle.
However, part of this stemmed from the fact that he was always overly prepared.
Better to be over than under.
As he spoke, his armor appeared to contract very slightly. It would lock down his joints a bit, but he'd get over it. Better than cleaning shit out of them for a few days. And clothes over armor bothered him.
He took a look to Alter as his stealth device went off. Interesting... he had to analyze it though.
"Alter. What are the output specs on that? How much mass can it stealth, and for how long? How much time is needed to recharge it? And most importantly, what happens when something like wind-blown sand impacts the people who are in stealth?"

Grandmaster Dewei ignored the current conversation at hand. It had nothing to do with him. But he smiled back at Tempest.
"You appear to have a strong disciple. He must have a good teacher."
Grandmaster Dewei responded back.
"Thank you, but he doesn't know that yet. He knows he can survive at all costs, but he doesn't know what extent he has yet. After a lifetime of training, I still don't know what the word strong really is."
Grandmaster Dewei felt generous, so he did a looked at Tempest up and down once. It looked like he was just scanning, even though the grandmaster has no scanning device in him, but he gave Tempest some tips.
"I know sound like captain obvious, and I heard this before. I know you are a recon type of fighter. Work on your defense. Your body can probably only take 1 hit. A general thing though. You are really calm, so you have alot of soft concepts in martial arts down already, without even knowing it, plus the ninjitsu experience. But if you are too calm, you lose the hard concepts of martial arts, I prefer using both at once. If you are too tense, like karate-ka, or boxers, or even the common military guy, you lose out on the soft concepts of martial arts. You need to have some tensity, but not completely tense. You need to be somewhat soft, but not completely. You can apply this concept to striking, kicking, grappling, and felling. Watch."
Grandmaster Dewei took his foot, and stomped lightly on the floor, using just body weight. Not a scratch.
"Nothing, that was just the soft concept, here's the hard concept."
Grandmaster Dewei tensed up his foot, stomped hard, using just his foot. Not a dent was made.
"Still nothing, now lets make most of my body soft, and have it work together, and make my foot tense at the point of impact, but it's really your knee and your body weight driving your foot to stomp. Same thing with a strike, you don't want your arm completely tense, just make the fist tense at the point of impact. But your whole arm has to be loose, with your body going into it soft. "
Grandmaster Dewei picked up his foot, and without any effort put his foot into the floor about a couple of inches, then pulled it out.
While Grandmaster Dewei was talking, Zackary answered to Strike, while holding the water, and the backpack he was given.
"Sir, I am all set to go. Just give the word."

How much time is needed to recharge it? And most importantly, what happens when something like wind-blown sand impacts the people who are in stealth?" Alter smiled, proud of his ingenuity. "It's not a question of mass; the device hides a fixed volume of matter, with somewhat variable controls to prevent civilians from getting caught in the field - however, at most, it had a radius of ten meters under laboratory conditions. But, it could only maintain such a high degree of output for something like eight minutes before needing to recharge for something like twenty-five." He frowned at the limited utility of the device. "Of course, when used at lower settings, such problems become minimized; I found that the device could operate at a radius of five meters for up to roughly one hour at a time, with only about sixteen minutes of recharge time. Thank God for internal fusion power. "As for windblown sand, well, hrm..." he paused, thinking. "I wasn't informed that the device was to be used in a desert environment, so I didn't exactly do any testing on the subject. I suppose we'll find out when we get there."

Genesis stood up from leaning against the wall and simply said:"I think we're all set for this mission." He then looked at strike, who was simply the more mature, professional commander of the two and said: "With all due respect commander, I don't mind a little preperation. But once we're in point insertion, planning be damned, its instincts and eyesight that will save our lives. I don't condemn devices to make it easier, But please, understand. In the eyes of the observant, we will be seen anyway. Device or not. our footsteps will give us away, unless there is a severe wind to cover our traces. Our communication can be jammed or picked up simply by lisning to comms and fequencies, and not to mention, I have a visor for heat detection, all those who are build anything like us at all will be able to see us trough our stealth."
With that, Genesis's head let out a puff of smoke, and his eyes started looking as stupid as before.

"Hmm. One thing I have never been able to do is grow tense unless a need arises, such as my friends being threatened. While this may sound abbhorent I can remain calm, even when my life is in danger, I have always placed more emphasis on saving others. But you are correct, a lack of force and an excess of it both lack true power. I will train on this more upon this mission's completion. I thank you for the advice."
Tempest then nodded his head at Zack nearby.
"I'll keep an eye on him. He reminds me so much of myself when I was still an apprentice under my ninja sensei...."

"I'll keep an eye on him. He reminds me so much of myself when I was still an apprentice under my ninja sensei...."
"Thank you. He is going to need help, especially since this is his first mission. One of the others here........uh Grandmaster Yuuichi, he's going to look out for him too, and his students too. He has alot of support, so if you are unable to help at a certain moment, don't worry. He has something though, that even I don't have. It could be the difference to slowing this war down war, and hopefully ending it. The only problem is.........I have my own agenda, and I am unable to watch him, I will time to time, but it won't be for long. My purpose out in the Sahara Desert, is much different than everyone else. Everyone here is going on a recon mission. Me though, Im doing the same, but Im looking for something that even your CO does not have in your mission log. To be honest though, I wish I knew what I was supposed to be looking for though as well, all I have is a clue from a encrypted message, from one of my last teachers, he was onto something, then he just disappeared." the grandmaster said overlooking others while talking.
Zackary talked to the others, just casual talk, he asked about the mission, and he got responses from generic soldiers like "Weren't you paying attention?" or "Sorry I'm busy right now."
He was open to a conversation with Alan, and Trina. But he wanted to ask what their experience was, but he wasn't sure how to ask. Zack didn't want to sound nervous either.
"Alan, Trina. Nice to see you both again. I have a question.......are these type of missions usually tough?"

"Hmmm, Tough, not sure, this would be my first ACTUAL mission." Alan said as he played with his knife. "So what ever happens, ya never know, though I'm wondering, this is a large group for a recon mission." Alan commented looking around. "maybe joinin' wasn't such a good idea... I'd raise this comment to master, but I'm afraid he'd zap me," Alan thought with a nervous laugh.
